Hi, I’m Melissa!
I’m a German speaker and travel specialist.
I taught German and history for 25 years and in May 2019 I realized I needed something else. Travel Bug Adventures was born in October 2019 and I knew I found my second act. I realized that I (almost) liked planning trips more than actually traveling (not really!) From finding the best hotels to choosing tours and activities, I absolutely love the process of bringing together all the elements of a custom, bucket-list trip.
I have an insatiable appetite to explore new places and have visited most of Europe, 28 American states, a lot of the Caribbean and some of Asia and Africa. I live and breathe travel, and love sharing my passion with others. On my site, you’ll find travel guides, itineraries, images, videos, and tips from my travels around the world!
